Digital elevation model with high spatial resolution of meters (DEM) Data -TanDEM-XData download request method.
Tandem-XThe satellite project was launched in June 2010 and two satellites were launched on June 21, 2010 and December 21, 2010, respectively, viz.TerraSAR-Xcap (a poem)TanDEM-X。Tandem-XThe satellites fly at very low distances from each other, forming a pair of radar satellites that are independent of each other but highly synergistic.Tandem-XThe main mission of the satellite project is to acquire high-resolution three-dimensional topographic and geomorphologic data of the Earth's surface through synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology. By collecting radar echo data and processing them.Tandem-XAbility to provide highly accurate Digital Elevation Model (DEM).DEM), which can be used in cartography, terrain analysis, geomorphologic studies, hydrologic simulation, and other applications. Rice data is not available for public download at this time, but needs to be accessed upon application; this paper describes this application process in detail.
It is important to note that12

metersTanDEM-XThe data request process is cumbersome - the application process requires not only filling out thePurpose of data useIt is also necessary to have a clear understanding of theSubject group requesting dataIn addition, it is very likely that an individual application will not be approved, but rather a group, laboratory, or even an entire organization will be required to apply; and after the application is approved, it will not be possible to download all of the global data, but rather only theData on limited areaIf we go beyond this area, we can not continue to download; and there is another point, that is, the data application site is also very lagging, not very convenient. Therefore, if you are a personal identity, or need more data, it is not recommended to use the12

metersTanDEM-Xdata, it would be better to use other data that can be publicly downloaded.
First, let's go to12

meter (classifier)TanDEM-XRequests for datanodeand in the upper left corner of the screen select "Investigators Registration" option, as shown below.
Afterwards, in the pop-up window, create an account as required.
Subsequently, once the registration is complete, we wait for the verification email and click on the link in the email once we receive it so as to verify the registration. This is shown in the picture below.
After that, just go back to the registration page you just visited and click the following button in the registration page.
We will then go back to the home page and enter the account we just registered in the top left corner; as shown below.
Here you need to pay attention to, if there is an error after entering the data and it shows that the login fails, you can log in a few more times; or make sure that you have verified the account in the email. When we have successfully logged in, select "Investigator" option; as shown in the figure below.
Subsequently, in a new window, select "Create DEM Proposal"Option to submitDEMThe data is requested. As shown in the figure below.
Next, in the new window, we select the drop-down box "DEM" option, as shown below.
After that, you can enter the application fill in the interface. As shown in the figure below, this is only the first page of the application, and there are a lot of contents to be filled in later, including the purpose of our data download, the introduction of the data research area, the introduction of the subject group, etc., which are very numerous.
For example, the second page is an introduction to the group you are working with, including the group's research experience, organization, and so on.
If people really need this data, then fill out the entire application and in the last step select "Submit"Options.
If your application is filled out correctly, you can receive an e-mail in your registered e-mail address, indicating that the application has been submitted successfully; at a later stage, you can wait for the application to be approved, and then you can start to download the data of the designated area.
At this point, the job is done.
