This article describes how inArcMapIn the software, by "Create Fishnet"The tool createsfishing netto obtain a vector of the specified size.(math.) a latticeMethodology of the data.

First of all, before we create the fishing net, we need to specify the range covered by the fishing net. Here we will take Sichuan Province as an example to create the fishing net in this range; where the vector range of Sichuan Province is shown below.

existArcMapIn the software, we select in turn "Toolboxes”→“Data Management ”→“Sampling”→“Create Fishnet" option; as shown in the figure below.

This will be followed by a pop-up "Create Fishnet" tool window, as shown below.

where the first parameter is the final output of our fishing net vector file'sPath and NameThe second parameter generates the fishing netspatial extentIn this paper, it is the Sichuan vector file mentioned earlier; if we are not based on a specified file to delineate the scope of the net generation, then you can manually enter the scope limit data in the data box below the second parameter, respectively, manually.

Subsequently, the next two parameter fields are used to set the fishing netorigin (math.)(located at the very end of the net)lower left) has the same coordinates as theYaxis vertices; next, we need to set the coordinates of each lattice in the fishing netlengthstogether withheightwhich is also shown in the picture above.0.2694Those two parameters; if we need to specify the fishing mesh grid'snumber of individualsInstead of its length and width, just set the next two parameters (i.e., the two blank ones in the figure above) and set the parameter that represents thelengthstogether withheightThe parameter field is set tovoidmaybe0Value.

Subsequently, the next line of the parameter field is used to set the fishing netCoordinates of the upper right cornerThe next checkbox indicates whether we need to also generate a point vector element, which is used to label the midpoints of each grid in the net; the last parameter indicates whether we will end up with a net vector file with a line element layer or a surface element layer.

After setting all the parameters, click "OK"You can run the tool; after the tool runs, you will get the fishing net vector file; if we check the box shown above, you will also get a point element vector layer, as shown in the figure below.

The actual look of these two element layers is shown below, where you can see that the green layer is thefishing netEach square is every one of them.(math.) a lattice; each of these points is then generated at the same timePoint Elements Vector Layer, located in the center of each grid.

In addition, the fishing net elements we generated automatically come with an attribute table, as shown below; but which, in addition to the one shown in the purple box belowFIDOutside of the fields, each grid does not contain separate fields.

At this point, the job is done.
