Most of the students may have the feeling that "We haven't gotten the written test and interview in September, and this is October?" It's true, and most students are probably in this situation. Indeed, and most students are probably in this situation. Then today we will analyze why this problem occurs? What should we do next to get the Offer?
Why haven't you had an interview yet?
There are a few main reasons why there were no interviews in September:
- September-OctoberToo many vacationsSeptember vacation accounted for 1/3 of the total time, not counting the 7-day National Day holiday, the vast majority of companies will not be recruiting during the holiday, as shown in the chart below:
- Company Recruitment SequenceThe order of recruiting is "education > internship experience > professional technology", so in the fall recruitment before a period of time! The company will prioritize interviews with students who have good academic qualifications, internships, and technical skills.So.Most students will then have their interviews scheduled for mid to late fall recruitment, after OctoberUp.
- Other issues:
- Too few resumes submitted。
- Resumes are too crotchety.: Schools, internships, professional skills, and project experience are relatively common.
- There are no inbound resources.
- There is a problem with the manner, time, and timing of the greeting.
How do you break it?
1. Actively submit your resume
An active resume, also known as a "resume submission," is the most critical step in getting an offer, bar none. If you have fewer interviews, if you do not have a guaranteed Offer, then at this moment, there is nothing more important than [sea resume].
Sea Casting means that you have to post (resume) all the positions you can find and that you can see that are relevant to your position.
For example, if you are posting a Java R&D Engineer job on Boss, then search for "Java" and post your resume for all the companies you can find (and see) that you haven't submitted to (use Excel to keep track of the companies you have submitted to).
Note: You don't have to go through the job requirements posted by HR.Many companies post jobs with high requirements, but in most cases, they lower their standards and give more candidates the opportunity to take written tests and interviews. So.Don't be deterred by high job requirements, don't let any opportunity pass you by, sea casting is to post all the companies related to your position, don't miss a single one!, because his failure will have little impact, but in case he succeeds he will have a job.
2. Don't pick a city
Some people submit their resumes for only their intended city, and for both years, my advice is to submit all the right jobs in all cities. It's hard to find a job with less than three years of development experience, so it's important to make sure you can get into the industry first. And if you get an offer, if you really don't want to go, then the initiative is still in your hands. So don't pick a city, just vote hard.
3. Adjust your mindset
There are two kinds of things in this world: those you can control and those you can't. We can only do the things we can control, and for the things we can not control, do not pay too much attention, do not care too much. Because it is beyond your control, no matter how hard you try, no matter how much you care, but also can not change any results, so do not have to spend too much time and energy on it, there is no return, but rather, it is to add to their own troubles.
The same applies to job hunting, you are actively submitting resumes, actively interviewing, actively reviewing, and actively taking written exams, all of which are things you can control. And for the interviews less opportunity, the employer acceptance harsh these things, has been beyond your control, so these things do not care too much.
I'm glad I got it, just take the failure as experience, and then just review and try another company after that, you have to believe that what's coming will come.
4. Active revision
During the time when there are no written tests or interviews, except for theBeyond the daily sea of resumes, you have to do a good job of reviewing them, because the only way to do it right is to make sure that once you have an interview, you can take advantage of it.
During active preparation be sure to putTheoretical knowledge of interviews, common interview questions systematically go through the, the review outline can be based on the skills written on the resume and the outline of my Java Interview Blitz Bootcamp against it:
5.Post more jobs
Submitting more positions can be done in the following ways:
- Submission Test Development Engineer or Test EngineerAfter learning Java knowledge, you can not only submit Java R&D engineers, but also submit test development engineers or test engineers, because most of their written test questions and interview questions are Java knowledge, so you can submit more related technical positions.
- Delivering big data or operations and maintenance jobs: A lot of the knowledge in Java, such as database, Redis, Kafka, is the same as the expertise in Big Data and Ops, so you can try to apply for those positions as well.
- Post an internshipIf you really don't have the opportunity to interview for a formal position, you can also submit a position for an internship. Its benefits are, first, increase interview experience; second, first find an internship, get an internship experience, next spring recruitment will be more likely to get Offer, and internships may also be directly converted, so internships also need to be submitted. However, it should be noted that, after getting the Offer of the internship post, the timing of the internship should be postponed until after the official fall recruitment, so that there is still more time to find other more suitable jobs.
When does fall recruitment end?
The normal fall recruiting period is: mid-September to mid-NovemberThe company's hiring slowly wound down after November, and theThe later the HC is reduced, the more difficult it is to find a job, so you must find a job before it's too late!。
wrap-up
For double non-general undergraduate students, if there is no internship experience, and the technical ability and general situation, the interview and written test opportunities are less is normal, most students are in this situation, so this time do not panic, and can not mess up their own, adjust the mindset, actively submit resumes, active review, try to submit more positions, I believe that you will be able to find their own jobs. Don't panic, don't panic, there is moonlight when the sun goes down. Take control of what you can control and leave the rest to God.
