My personal use case.

- There is a small Intel 12-generation host at home, installed pve virtualization, the core through the unsuccessful, and want to use windows, so consider the win to go program, plug in the hard disk into the windows system, do not plug in the hard disk into the pve system.
- Realize the hard disk can run windows system, but also can be normal storage of files, there are two partitions storage

Start troubleshooting what's causing the disk drive not to show up
Checked the disk management, it is normal to show (I guess it is not the hard disk box problem), but the disk drive does not show (hard disk problem), it is presumed that the hard disk format is not right (before the hard disk installed linux system), reformatting the partition!
Because the windows disk management function is less, so use diskGenins to format the partition.

Quickly partition the hard disk and set the partition size, choose NTFS as the partition format (other formats will have a 4G size limit when copying files).

Make a Win To Go system for your hard disk with rufus tool

Host BIOS settings for boot items and boot mode

Install the wireless card wifi driver
After entering the new system, you can only plug in the cable to use, there is no way to connect wifi, very inconvenient!

After installing the driver, you can connect to the wifi (win10 new system installed, as long as the connection to the network, after a while will automatically install the wifi driver, win11 need to manually install)
Partition hard disk, one system, one file storage
Partitioning is complete, currently there are two partitions a win to go, a partition to store files, do not interfere with each other.
