Windows logs one disk-related PC lag issue

Popularity:850 ℃/2024-10-26 18:00:50

My computer has been jerking around a lot lately and lagging once in a while

Check the system event log and there will be both:

  1. A reset to device \Device\RaidPort0 was issued.
  2. IO operation has been retried at logical block address 0x7206a8 on disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\0000003a).

DiskGenis checks disk 0, which is normal:

This FASPEED hard disk is a domestic Spyder brand. Jingdong Mall to find FASPEED, did not find the official flagship store, only a similar agent of the store, ask customer service hard disk problem 1 day did not reply.

Downloaded HD Tune tool, tested disk Health, saw a CRC error count, not sure if the lag is related to that:

See CRC errors and search online. ReferenceHow to Fix "Interface CRC Error Count" in HD TuneWith this article, it looks like this CRC error may be related to the SATA controller.

additionallyWIN10 lagging, system process disk occupancy 100%, iaStorA warning event, issued a reset to device \Device\RaidPort0. _system occupies 100% of disk - CSDN BlogsThis blog also describes a similar problem, the probability is that accidentally updating the SATA driver version causes the problem, which is solved by updating to find the local SATA driver fallback version.

But there is no other SATA driver version locally for me, and the automatic search for the latest driver shows the latest version. The current version I have is the official Microsoft version 10.0.22000.856 from 2006, which is rather old.

Download Driver Wizard and see that SATA can be upgraded an Intel's latest version:

So I clicked upgrade.Restarted several times, then used the computer for over 6 hours, did not reproduce the lagging problem, resolved!

Also, I reopened the DiskGenis tool to see the disk situation and found that the drive order had changed. Not sure if this hard disk order change due to the driver reinstallation also has anything to do with the lag issue being resolved:
